Those were the comments from Pittsburgh second baseman Gene Alley today as his 4-5 day included the cycle, a baseball rarity.
"He sure was a wrecking ball today," said one teammate after the Pirates tamed the Expos 10-4 at Forbes Field.
G. Alley grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off N. Chavez in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In 55 games this season Alley is batting .265 with 62 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 28 runs and driven in 15. | |
