Other Reality Baseball 2 News Article | | | Thursday, June 19th, 1969: Pittsburgh Starting Pitcher Hurt The Pittsburgh Pirates will have to make do without Ron Reed for 1-2 weeks. He suffered a tender elbow while throwing a pitch in the game today against the Cincinnati Reds. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the starting pitcher. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back."
To date Reed is 6-6 in 14 starts with a 3.21 ERA and has 57 strikeouts in 89.2 innings. | |
