Monday, July 14th, 1969: Hague Selected Top Player
Joe Hague demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the National Player of the Week Award.

The Chicago (N) first baseman wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .500 average (9-18) with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor.

In 1969 Hague has produced 70 hits in 235 at-bats for a .298 average with 13 home runs and gotten on base at a .384 clip.
