Other Reality Baseball 2 News Article | | | Saturday, August 2nd, 1969: Miller Must Sit Out 3 Games Norm Miller, third baseman for the San Francisco Giants, will be getting a few days off the hard way -- a 3-game suspension for aggressively arguing with an umpire in a recent game with Montreal.
After being called out on strikes, Miller stood toe-to-toe with the home plate umpire and hotly contested the call. Apparently he got too close to the arbiter and was ejected from the game, allegedly making contact with the bill of his cap.
"I don't remember billing him. I don't remember doing that," Miller told BNN today.
In 1969 Miller has hit at a .230 clip with 62 hits, 6 home runs, 36 RBIs and has scored 26 times. | |
