Other Reality Baseball 2 News Article | |  | Friday, August 29th, 1969: Boston Whitewashes Kansas City, Boswell Winner The Kansas City Royals were almost helpless today in their 7-0 loss to Boston hurler Dave Boswell. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 3-hit shutout.
The Kansas City manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Boswell. He kept us off balance all night."
Boswell said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."
He had no walks and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.
Thus far this season Boswell has posted a 13-3 record, started 17 games, struck out 136 batters in 161.2 innings and compiled a 3.28 ERA. | |
