Monday, September 15th, 1969: Players Suspended in Indians-Senators Donnybrook
Yesterday at Cleveland Municipal Stadium a spat between John Kennedy of the Cleveland Indians and Pete Mikkelsen of the Washington Senators ended with the both benches clearing as players rushed to protect their teammates.

Today, the incident ended with the league suspending both Kennedy and Mikkelsen for 5 games for their fight.

For 1969 Kennedy is hitting .230 with 3 home runs. His stats include 44 RBIs and 50 runs scored.

So far this season Mikkelsen has picked up 8 saves in 55 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 8-2 won-lost mark with a 1.79 ERA and fanned 81 batters in 100.1 innings.
