Other Reality Baseball 2 News Article | |  | Friday, September 19th, 1969: Number 300 for Killebrew It was an historic day in the life of Harmon Killebrew. The 33-year-old Houston first baseman recorded the 300th homer of his career in the Astros 7-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
In the clubhouse after the game, Killebrew told BNN, "I was just looking for a ball to drive... and I got one."
During his career Killebrew has notched 1268 hits and a .243 average with 300 home runs and 874 RBIs. | |
