Saturday, September 20th, 1969: Great Day for Joshua -- 5 Hits
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Houston left fielder Von Joshua said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-6 day against the Chicago (N) Cubs at Astrodome. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."

The Astros had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 12-4.

V. Joshua singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off J. Warner in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off S. Hamilton in the 9th.

In the current season, Joshua has put up a .339 batting average with 191 hits, 13 home runs, 71 RBI and scored 81 runs.
