Sunday, September 21st, 1969: Hit Streak Now at 20 for Jones
Everyday everyone is checking up on Cleon Jones to see if he got a hit to keep his hitting streak alive. Today's answer is "yes". He did it with a 1-4 day against the Mets. The Milwaukee Brewers right fielder stretched the streak to 20 games in his team's 7-5 triumph over the New York (N) Mets at County Stadium II.
C. Jones grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and struck out in the 8th.

So far this season, Jones has recorded a .339 batting average with 197 hits, 14 home runs, 92 RBIs, 75 runs scored and a .399 OBP.
