Tuesday, September 23rd, 1969: Holtzman Pitches Shutout
"He's got a bunch of different arm angles and his ball was really moving," said the Minnesota manager after watching Ken Holtzman of the Baltimore Orioles humiliate his club 2-0 in a fine 3-hit shutout.

"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Holtzman said after he befuddled the Twins. "I was making good pitches the entire game."

He whiffed 8 and walked 2 in the complete game effort.

This year Holtzman has 2 saves, totaled 184.2 innings, allowed 154 base hits and fashioned a 3.17 ERA while racking up 135 strikeouts and a record of 12 wins and 8 losses.
