 | Thursday, May 1st, 1969: Alexander Cartwright League Selects April's Best Batter Even though he is a newcomer to Independence League, Bill Russell put up some good numbers in April and brought home the ACL Batter of the Month trophy. He was one of Pawtucket's offensive leaders with a .415 average in 16 games. He also racked up no home runs, 12 RBIs and 15 runs scored. |
