He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Rochester second baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Breeding said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
M. Breeding hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off H. Hippauf in the 10th.
This season Breeding has banged out 30 hits in 101 at-bats for a .297 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .330 pace and his totals also include 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored. | |
