Independence League News Article | | | Thursday, May 15th, 1969: Bisons Morales Lost for Year The doctors have spoken and Jerry Morales of the Buffalo Bisons didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Morales sustained his season-ending injury during the Fort Wayne Freeze game yesterday at Bacharach Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing the ball. Today the Buffalo medical staff reported Morales had a torn rotator cuff muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7-8 months.
This season Morales has hit at a .254 clip with 13 RBIs, 2 home runs and 11 runs scored. He has played in 29 games. | |
