 | Sunday, May 18th, 1969: Morales Slaps 5 Hits Fort Wayne second baseman Rich Morales really lit up the Vancouver Mounties with a 5-hit barrage today at 17th Street Ballpark -- a performance that sparked the Freeze to a 13-2 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." R. Morales hit a two-run single in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Braun in the 9th. In this current campaign Morales is hitting at a .286 clip with 1 home run and 23 RBIs. |
