 | Wednesday, July 9th, 1969: Sadecki Tosses Shutout Against Suns Ray Sadecki of the Miami Marlins shut out the Jacksonville Suns 8-0, held them to 3 hits with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Sadecki said, "I could throw any pitch on any count." The Jacksonville skipper called his game a jewel, saying, "The way he was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him." In 19 starts this season Sadecki has registered a 9-3 record and a 3.07 ERA. |
