 | Monday, August 12th, 1968: KMLL's #1 Player Named It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Kenesaw Mountain Landis League, but last week Alex Johnson of the Columbus Clippers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Johnson rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (11-22), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. In 1968 Johnson is batting .334 with 1 home run. |
