 | Sunday, September 1st, 1968: ACL Best Hitter Award to Albuquerque's Frank Quilici Frank Quilici is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Albuquerque second baseman joined that select company when the Alexander Cartwright League announced the results of August's voting. Quilici totaled 42 hits, 17 walks, 3 home runs, 28 RBIs and 23 runs scored last month to put together a .442 batting average and .518 on-base percentage. Quilici is hitting .337 in 1968 with 3 home runs, 76 RBIs and 64 runs scored. He has 153 hits in 454 at-bats and played in 125 games. |
