 | Wednesday, September 26th, 1962: Season May Be Over for White Sox Pizarro
The season is finished for Juan Pizarro of the Chicago White Sox. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The White Sox starting pitcher suffered a strained back muscle while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Boston Red Sox. Team doctors said it would take at least 1-2 weeks to heal.
So far this season Pizarro has 14 wins and 14 losses and a 3.22 ERA. |
