Friday, August 1st, 1969: Freeze Graham Blanks Chiefs
Bill Graham of the Fort Wayne Freeze not only shut out Spokane 1-0, he made it look effortless. Graham stopped them on 4 hits to help the Freeze cruise past the Chiefs. His performance included 14 strikeouts and 1 walk.

In the 1969 season Graham has recorded a 7-7 mark. In 19 starts he has fanned 171 batters in 143.1 innings with a 2.32 ERA.
Monday, July 7th, 1969: Moran Raps Spokane for 5 Hits
The Tacoma Rainiers upended the Spokane Chiefs at Bank Street Grounds today in large part to shortstop Al Moran, who had a smashing day with the bat -- he racked up 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and help propel the Rainiers to a 11-3 victory.

A. Moran doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th.

This season Moran has hit at a .233 clip and produced 29 RBIs, 1 home run and 32 runs scored.
Friday, May 30th, 1969: Hiller Batters Spokane Big Time
Tacoma second baseman Chuck Hiller went 5-for-5 today and paced the Rainiers to a 7-6 victory over the Spokane Chiefs at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium.

C. Hiller singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th.

This season Hiller has delivered 39 hits in 127 at-bats for a .307 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .382 clip and his totals also include 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored. This year Hiller has played in 40 games.
